Principal’s Profile
Dr. Gopal Nair BCom, CA, PhD, JP
Dr. Nair holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce and a PhD with a multidisciplinary perspective on colonial, post-colonial and neoliberal interventions in the Pacific island economies. He has been a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia for over twenty five years. He comes from a professional background with vast financial, management and consulting experience across a range of industries over many years in the Asia Pacific region.
He worked for ten years in large and 2nd tier professional firms before his involvement in IT distribution, non-bank finance and real estate industries. Over the last decade, he has provided selective corporate consultancy and corporate training services. He specialises in real estate development and hospitality industry projects. He is also passionate about researching and writing on various subjects, including the political economy of neo-liberalism (and the evolution of post-neoliberal or ‘managed capitalism’).
Aspects of the topic are covered in his book, titled ‘Challenge to Reason: Coups, Corporate Domination and an Unseen Order in Lost Paradise‘, which was published in 2013.
